Metail has developed a great product built around cutting-edge machine vision technologies that help people see how clothes will look and fit on their bodies when they are shopping online, by simply inputting three measurements. For shoppers, it increases their confidence to buy online as well as allowing them to experiment with new styles. For brands, it increases engagement and overall net sales. Metail has also been proven as an exciting and innovative marketing concept across magazines, online, live events and TV.
We are recruiting an R&D intern to join the team, to work on the frontier of Metail’s core technologies and build the future of online clothes shopping. As a member of our small and agile R&D team, you will work closely with the team on research challenges in computer vision, and deep learning relevant to Metail’s product lines. To help turn the innovative technology into products, you will periodically interact with the rest of the tech team for tech transfer, and with the Retail Crew for user advocacy. Your work will directly contribute to the next generation of Metail’s body shape visualization and garment fit system and will be used by millions of people.
What makes you our next R&D intern?
- Ideally Masters or PhD student, however we will consider 2nd/3rd year student in a computing/engineering course
- Strong, independent problem solving skills
- Good programming skills over at least one programming language (preferably python, c++, c#); polyglot preferred
- Course/project background in computer vision, machine learning and deep learning
- Good technical communication skills
- Good teamwork and collaboration capability
- Being focused and have the ability to work toward direction
All our internships are paid and typically last around eight to 12 weeks.
